In these final 3 courses of the specialization, students create a search and rescue drone inspired by the XVEIN drone designed by student makers Yuki Ogasawara and Ryo Kumeda. From there, students are introduced to Fusion 360 as an integrated CAD/CAM solution with the focus being on developing software skills and design related vocabulary.Ĭourses 3 through 5 of the specialization will publish between December and January. A series of lectures explain and discuss how trends such as generative design, machine learning are influencing innovation and how things are made. The first two courses in the specialization, Intro to Digital Manufacturing with Fusion 360 and Fusion 360 integrated CAD/CAM/CAE, focus on an understanding of digital manufacturing, principles of sustainable design and manufacturing processes. Through this specialization, students learn the foundations of product innovation and digital manufacturing while developing technical skills within Autodesk Fusion 360. Students completing the CAD and Digital Manufacturing Specialization will have developed job-ready skills in CAD for a head start in their academic and professional careers.
